Care for Cows October

This month we decided to post the contents of our Care for Cows October Newsletter on our Facebook Page:

The main reason being is that Facebook is more interactive and we can post videos there. When we have longer articles which require more text and photos, we will create a pdf and post it on as before. But otherwise you may visit our Facebook Page to get regular updates and participate by commenting on our posts.

This month we posted a three-and-one-half-minute video of our herd of 175 crossing the Yamuna at Belvan. You may remember that these cows were either rescued from the streets after being abandoned, injured by reckless drivers or while en-route to the slaughter house. Our efforts may not have made much difference to the many neglected cows in India, but, as you will see, we have made a difference to the ones in Belvan.

We posted before-and-after photos of four residents of Belvan so their sponsors can see how they have progressed.

Also we posted a photo and short video of Champakalata's new beautiful calf and others of a group of twenty Swiss pilgrims visiting India and interacting with our herd at Kiki Nagla.

You may be happy to hear that the near-lifeless bull calf rescued during Purusottama Mas has not only recuperated but has become a very effective and loving receptionist. You will see him charming the Swiss pilgrims.

Thanks for your participation and support. I hope this finds you experiencing the happiness and inner satisfaction that accompanies cow protection. Jaya Sri Gopal!

Your friend and servant,
