Radhanath Prabhu Has Left His Body

On October 24 a wonderful devotee left his body: Radhanath das of San Diego. I remember that my first service was taking Radhanath prabhu out to distribute books and flowers in his wheelchair. I first met him in 1978, when he was already in a wheelchair from a degenerative nerve disease. He was initiated by Srila Prabhupada, and Tamal Krishna Goswami thought of him as a very realized devotee.
He served for a while at the Houston Temple and I heard from him once
or twice a year after he moved to San Diego. He had purchased a house
there near the temple after his father died. His health deteriorated
and his legs had to be amputated about six years ago, but he continued
preaching. He had a mastery of Krishna-conscious philosophy, spoke
wonderfully of his realizations and was able to put others at ease. I
know he is back with Srila Prabhupada.
