We are selling one of the last beautiful building lots left in the Alachua, Florida area. This lot is rectangular, measuring 100 x 138 ft. [Total = 13,800 sq. ft. (1,280 sq. m.) or 1/3 acre]; it is also vastu and faces the east. It sits at the end of a paved cul-de-sac (which is great for kids!) and also has sidewalks. The lot has forest views at the rear and side with seven large, beautiful shade trees limiting the heat effect of the late afternoon sun. There are several nice spots for a small, medium, or moderately large sized garden on the left or southern side.
This lot sits on the highest elevation in Alachua County!! It will NEVER flood! This means you can build a basement if you like to can and store your goods and veggies or just have a cooler area of the house without having to turn up the AC. It is also less than 1 mile from interstate highway I-75 exit #399 (but you cannot hear the highway!!!) and thus very convenient to Santa Fe Community College/University of Florida, and all other Gainesville shopping. A county school bus goes directly to the devotee charter school at New Raman Reti or any other public school in Alachua.
Right now it only costs $59-69/sq ft- to build a NEW, Low-E(super energy efficient) concrete block home that will meet all your immediate and future needs with LOW energy consumption. No site work is needed; this lot is ready to build upon. Why settle for an aging, high-energy-consuming, fixer-upper that you are always going to be repairing! An additional benefit is that a new house will meet the new codes for any potential hurricanes with winds of up to a category#3 (up to 110mph). Older fixer-uppers will generally require a new roof if a hurricane should ever hit like it did in the fall of 2005 (with winds of only 75 mph - category#1).
There is no minimum size home that must be built. We also have a 1700sq.ft. Vastu house plan(4BR-3Bath) with a Deity standard kitchen (includes a mother-in-law apartment), or you can plan your own design. Our price has recently been reduced; we need to sell it because we need to go to India to work on our health issues and also our spiritual lives! We bought it for 33k including a building permit that was approved but financial conditions caused us to change our plans. We have drastically lowered the price to $22.500!
